There have been issues with the car losing battery life very quickly and stopping suddenly. This is despite all checks being done and not due to poor maintenance. The complaint does not appear to be due to unclean connections and dealers are struggling to resolve this complaint while drivers are getting frustrated.
Due to problems with the power train, there have been reports of a clunking and juddering noises. This problem arises when the clutch is engaged going at a slow pace or over uneven roads. Nissan has conducted quality checks with the crankshaft but there has been no firm fix.
There have also been reports of DTC p0868 code due to a lack of overall power in the car.
There has been a variety of complaints regarding the electrical system on this model, including ignition problems and wiring problems with the indicators. Various readings in the car do not appear to be accurate and there is general confusion with some of the electronics failing at random times with no cause.
Loud clicking noises and some shuddering indicate that the axles have not been assembled properly which is causing problems for Versa drivers and is a complaint that should be brought up right away with the dealer.
