The Infiniti Hybrid is big on style and comfort, making it a popular choice for a family car. Unfortunately, despite the many benefits of owning the QX60 drivers have experienced some problems.
If you have bought an Infiniti Hybrid and believe it is defective, California Lemon Law Center can help you with your claim against Nissan if it is deemed a lemon car.
Electrical Equipment and Software Defects
There have been a number of defects reported with the electrical system on the QX60 including check engine lights appearing when there is not an issue, navigation systems malfunctioning, and the key features not working properly. One of the more serious defects is to do with the lack of brakes. Drivers have reported that the brakes have failed to deploy which is, of course, very serious.
Exhaust System Emission Control
There have been several complaints relating to the car spluttering and juddering or with loud noises coming from the exhaust. Check engine lights appear when the fuel tank is full and some drivers have reported the car overheating or just turning off completely.
Electronic Stability Control
With defects including the cooling system not working properly to the car shuddering upon acceleration, there are concerns about the overall electronic stability control. In addition to the electrical faults with the brakes, as explained above, difficulty steering is another major fault which is worrying drivers.
All of the above complaints have been found in other models of the 2018 Infiniti QX60 hybrid, including the 2017 and 2019 models.
NHTSA Vehicle Safety Recall
The NHTSA has issued one recall for the 2018 Infiniti QX60 Hybrid due to the following problem:
- Service brakes, hydraulic: antilock
